Each shade is crafted from recycled paper made by an artisan team in the Philippines. The reclaimed paper is boiled and ground into a liquid pulp, then strained over a flat screen to form sheets. Each handmade paper sheet is cut to size and hand-placed onto a standard UL lampshade backing using a non-toxic adhesive. The finished shade is adhered to a solid mango base, sustainably sourced from mango farms. Bamboo, acacia, and fern leaves are used in some designs to adorn the shade behind the handmade paper, enhancing the organic, artisanal aesthetic.
